1. What is symbeo?
symbeo is the latest, most innovative concept in primary care. For $40 per month, you gain unlimited access to our family doctors. That's it. Really. symbeo can be summed up in two words: health, simplified. We have re-invented all aspects of care, staffing our centers with high-quality doctors, making your appointments longer (up to 30 minutes), providing convenient hours, no waiting, and modern facilities.

2. How is symbeo different than other primary care doctors?
For one, we do not take insurance. Secondly, we have a huge focus on service. We treat you like a person, not a number or a set of lab results. Our doctors are focused only on taking care of patients instead of administrating and billing insurance claims. This means no paperwork after you sign-up. We guarantee appointments with your doctor within a few days (not 2-3 weeks), provide you with a full 30-minute time slot with your doctor, and there is no waiting – if your appointment is at 9:00 am, you will be seen at that time since there is no double-booking. 3. Is there a limit to the number of times I can visit symbeo?
No, there is no limit. You can come as much, or as little, as you need to in order to obtain access to our Board-certified physicians and the programs offered at symbeo. symbeo also offers educational seminars on relevant health topics such as dieting and nutrition, which are open to all our members.

4. Is symbeo insurance?
No, symbeo is not insurance. Your monthly fee entitles you to unlimited access to the doctor. It does not cover procedures, advanced diagnostics, specialist care, medications, or hospitalization.

5. What if I already have insurance?
If you have insurance, you can still join symbeo. The fee, along with any other services you pay far may be eligible for reimbursement by your insurer. However, in order to keep our overhead low, symbeo does not process nor submit claims to your insurer. We give you a receipt for our services and you are responsible for getting reimbursed by your insurer. You may want to consider the $20 a month option, which gives you access to our doctors via e-mail and online. For more information, click here.

6. Can you help me obtain insurance if I am uninsured?
Yes! Our company is affiliated with health insurance agents and we can help you find the plan that best fits your needs. Contact us today for more information.

7. Who are your doctors? What are their qualifications?
Our doctors are Board-certified family medicine physicians and internists. They are pioneers and innovators who are passionate about giving patients access to affordable medical care and taking care of patients in the right way. For more on our medical staff, click here.

8. Does symbeo have other locations?
Not yet! Our plan is to launch multiple locations soon. This innovative concept is just starting out in Essex County and Northern New Jersey. Members must come to the location located in Bloomfield. 9. What happens if I need something beyond primary care?
While symbeo will not pay for the cost of services outside primary care, symbeo is negotiating discounts with specialists and other providers (labs, imaging centers) in the community. Our negotiated rates with local providers will likely be lower than what you can negotiate on your own. Also, if you are confused about where/how to get specialist care, we will help guide you to the right provider as part of your Membership.

10. Do I have to sign a contract?

Yes! symbeo is not a health insurance company nor a health maintenance organization and does not participate in any of the guarantee funds created by New Jersey law. The subscription fee is per individual and entitles the member to unlimited access to a primary care doctor, but does not include costs of prescription drugs,specialist care, advanced diagnostics (MRIs, CTs, etc.), or hospital care.
